Children who crave movement find it very difficult to concentrate when sitting still. This cushion helps to satisfy this sensory need for movement. The cushion is inflatable without the need for a pump and is smooth on one side and has a “bumpy” tactile side on the other. The wedge shape helps balance, encourages proper sitting and correct posture. Particularly beneficial for those with poor body awareness and low muscle tone. In Irish Primary schools this Junior sized cushion will fit most chairs from Junior Infants to First Class. For second class we recommend you measure the chair first to ensure the junior size will fit. Then from Third Class up we recommend the standared size cushion. However as there are variations in chair sizes from school to school it is best to measure the chair first in all cases. The cushion should be able to sit flat on the chair. The junior cushion is 26cm x 26cm in size.

Additional Information

The Movin' Sit Air Cushion is an inflatable dynamic air cushion which activates intrinsic trunk muscles to support the spine. The wedge shape encourages a seated posture with a forward pelvic position and the movement makes the user feel off balance if not sitting correctly. This inflatable wedge seat encourages static anatomical seating while mimicking the dynamic seating motion of a therapy ball. It is great for children with poor posture and those who have trouble sitting still. In particular, children with ADHD and/or Sensory Integration Dysfunction will benefit from the Movin' Sit. It can also be used upright in any chair as a back support or on the floor. Adjust inflation to comfort level.
